FTM-2002 VHF Marine Transceiver.

Dependable Construction
The FTM-2002 is a powerful I microprocessor controlled VHF FM Marine Band Transceiver combining the advanced features and flexibility of microprocessor control with the ruggedness and reliability of surface-mount chip components.

Power & Programmability
Where permitted by law, up to twenty-five watts of RF power output is available on the 55 International or US Marine channels, as well as on up to 10 dealer programmable "Private" channels, and 1 0 standard Weather channels (in the US version). Each channel set is selectable from the front panel. All channels can be quickly programmed by your Yaesu dealer using a personal computer.

Easy Operation
Large backlit pushbuttons allow selection of channelling systems, scanning (all channel or user-selectable), high/low power output (25W/1W) and display brightness. All channels can be selected by rotary selector or scanner. With user selectable channels for scanning, you can choose only the channels of interest, skipping those that are not used in one port, or always busy.

Emergency channel 16 is instantly selectable by a special key, or can be monitored for activity ("Dual-Watch") while receiving on any other channel. The backlit liquid crystal display shows the selected channel in large numbers, plus special functions such as low power setting, private channel number, and operating status. A four-level pushbutton display dimmer allows optimising display lighting in any environment.

Special Versions & Options
In the European version, a special button mutes the internal (and up to two optional external) loudspeakers when privacy is desired using the MH-24A13 telephone type handset. A noise-cancelling hand microphone, the MH-5F8, is also available for all versions.

Flexible Installation
Designed with an independent RF ground, the FTM-2002 may be installed in either positive- or negative-ground electrical systems. The supplied MMB-47 eight way mounting bracket allows the transceiver to be positioned at the most convenient operating angle in just about any cabin location, or to be installed as a marine base station for operation from the AC mains.
