The IC-T81A is water resistant to JIS 4 standards

Add the wide-open microwaves to your fun. The 1.2 GHz band is very popular in metro areas.

  • Transmit on 6 meters, 2 meters, 440 MHz, and 1.2 GHz ham bands
  • Up to 5 watts of power @13.5 V DC (1 watt on 1.2 GHz)
    4.5 watts out of the box with supplied BP-200 battery

  • Wide band receive:
    • 50-54 MHz (6 meters), 74 - 174 MHz (2 meters), 400 - 470 MHz (440 MHz band) and 1240 - 1300 MHz (1.2 GHz band)
    • Broadcast FM receive (some TV stations, too)
    • Airband receive
    • Reception guaranteed on US ham bands only

  • Ni-MH powered:
    • Longer operating times than with Ni-Cd cells
    • Compact size keeps the weight down, and provides slim profile
    • Back mounting offers good radio balance -- feels comfortable in the hand
